More Web Applications

   BKG GeoCoder
BKG GeoCoder
Web application for geocoding postal addresses, place names, street names or postal codes. With the help of this application, registers with large quantities of address-related entries can be geocoded simply automatically via a data exchange interface (Excel file). For this, a spatial position description in form of a coordinate (geocoding) is assigned to the register entries. Additionally, the application provides possibilities for manual verification and optimization of the automatically generated results.

Purchasing a license for the service gdz_geokodierung at the DLZ of the BKG and the use of a user identifier are necessary for the use of the GeoCoder.

   Adressen-Batch
Adressen-Batch
The application Address Batch allows assigning of position coordinates (geocoding) to a list of addresses. Having purchased from BKG a right of use for the Web Feature Service wfs_geokodierung is prerequisite for this.

The addresses are read from a CSV file (this can be generated with Excel, for example) and the result is written in a CSV file. Please follow the further notes under "Help" in the application.

Requirement: Java Version 1.7 or higher

   BKG Download
DOP-Download
The BKG download permits all authorized users to download and store Digital Orthophotos (DOP) and Digital Topographic Maps (DTK) via an interactive selection of tiles of the size 1 km x 1 km in one map.

Each tile is stored as Image File (.jpg) together with a so-called World File (.jgw) and a Metadata File (.meta). The JGW file contains the parameters of an Affine Transformation for computing the world coordinates and can be interpreted by different geoinformation systems. The metadata indicate the date of the flight mission, particularly.

The DOP ground resolution up to maximum 20 cm is free available. DTK can be downloaded in scales between 1:25 000 and 1:100 000.

Condition: Java upper version 1.7

   Mapscale calculator
mapscale-calculator
The Mapscale calculator allows the conversion of lengths from maps and the reality and the calculation of the scale.

Additionally, special pixel sizes can be defined for length specifications, which are converted by applying the same scale. An inverse input of resolutions (e.g. in DPI) is also possible here.

Finally, the number of pixels is calculated based on the length specification and the pixel size. This information is often useful for the calculation of tile sizes in image archives.
