Georeferencings

In the following the most important Georeferencing are compiled that are applied at the GeoDatenZentrum. This is simultaneously an overview over the spatial reference systems that are common in Germany and reflects the user requirements at federal level.
The defined tokens are specifications of the BKG within the scope of the work of the GeoData Centre. The corresponding EPSG codes are particularly applied for the description and query of web services.

The UTM projections differ at first by their geodetic reference GRS80/ETRS89 (...s and ...e) or WGS84 (...w). For cartographic tasks in the mean and small scale range these two geodetic references are identical. Furthermore there are two variants of the UTM projection that differ only by the fact that the zonal number (32 or 33) is contained in the Easting in the beginning (...w and ...e, often usual in Germany analogous to Gauss-Krueger coordinate) or is not contained (...s, internationally usual definition of the UTM coordinates).
In the German national survey the UTM projection shall replace the Gauß-Krüger projection in the near future.
